The Journey

"As we trudge the road of happy destiny" funny antiquated language. I love it. I have come to see and feel my life as a journey. Day by day. I used to think that I was setting the course. Now, I try to see what is around me today as I trudge.

Today doesn't seem much like a trudge. Not skipping or running, but as I walk, I can observe and take it in. I can see who is along this stretch of road. I can live less willfully.

Some years ago a friend suggested "what if we spend a month concentrating on the perception of beauty" It changed my life. Beauty does that. I've found that when I concentrate on the beauty along the road, that other good things happen in my life; things I don't have to originate or will into being.

It is a sweet morning. Cool. A real gift in July. The horses were munching peacefully when I left for work. Maybe I'll get out early and be able to get some on me.

Have a good one.
